It is an interesting image to try to picture in one’s mind’s eye.

Seem to recall that this quote is from The Secret of the Golden Flower, a Chinese Taoist book translated by Richard Wilhelm (1920s).  I read this book in the summer of 1982, and have thought of this quote from time to time over the years.

We are spiritual beings currently living in a gross, material world.
