One European’s view of Obama’s America

One European’s view of Obama’s America

Reader discretion is advised.  Die-hard Obama supporters may be offended.  (The aura around President Obama for some supporters has religious overtones.)

The below quote was recently passed on to us by a US based Christian organization that has proved to be a reliable source of information in the past.  We did a little searching on the Internet and found that this quote, or a slight variation of it, appears on many websites (mostly blogs and discussion forums).  As well, sometimes the date given is 28 April 2010 (instead of 2011), and the quote is credited to one of the paper’s readers.

We include here what we received.  Regardless of authorship or date of original publication, it is food for thought.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency.  It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.  The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.  Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.  The Republic can survive a Barack Obama.  It is less likely to survive a multitude of Idiots such as those who made him their president.”

This quote was translated into English from an article appearing in the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung on 28 April 2011.  (There has been little in the past 15 1/2 months to alter the above assessment.)

We now leave any analysis of the above to the readers.

Not wanting to do too many reblogs in the future, we include 2 links to recent essays that you might be interested in for the beautiful photographs.  The first links to an essay on Bali, Indonesia.  The second essay is about shopping in Singapore.
