This house was recently painted with an unusual color. We think it is catchy to the eye. The house does stand out from the adjoining houses especially under a sunny, afternoon sky.
On two different days as this house was being painted, I walked by on the way to the local post office. On the second occasion, I stopped for a moment to tell the house painter that the color looked nice. He smiled and said that he did not care for the color. By his reaction, it seemed he was surprised that anyone would be pleased with this color.
Here is a closer view of the garage door of the house with a little interplay of light and shadow.
As this house is near the corner where 2 streets meet, we first see it as we round the corner and begin to walk downhill.
A little closer view here.
Almost directly in front of the house now.
Even the metalwork of the iron gate was painted. Here, we see more of the driveway in front of the house.
